Welcome!
Hi! I’m Elisa, a bestselling author of fourteen books, including the novels Faking It, The Second First Time, and my latest, All of You. I’m also a former writing instructor and author of The Writer’s Habit, and author of the memoir Friends of Mine: Thirty Years in the Life of a Duran Duran Fan.
My mission: To write, publish, and sell novels and nonfiction that are enjoyable, smart, and well written and edited. My novels are primarily marketed as Women's Fiction, but I characterize them as “Romance Rhetoric”—stories about relationships a la Nora Ephron, but with Aaron Sorkin-like dialogue. They are infused with dynamic characters, crack dialogue, and a story that keeps you thinking and feeling well after the last page.
What qualifies me? To date I have sold over 500,000 books worldwide in multiple languages and formats. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in professional writing. Almost every day I engage in the writing process in some form. I aim to constantly hone my craft and connect with my readers.
With humor, kindness, stories, and a smile, I aim to motivate and inspire you to fall in love with and stay connected to the joy of reading and/or writing, as well as your own lives. Thank you for being here!
